Brühl, July 16, 2025 – Managed cloud specialist BW.tech has assumed full operation of the secure cloud file-sharing service owncloud.online. The platform, developed in cooperation with owncloud GmbH (now Kiteworks), will now be managed exclusively by BW.tech.
BW.tech has previously provided the infrastructure behind owncloud.online and in particular operates the German high-availability data center, with which the service achieves the highest security and compliance standards (including ISO 27001).
The platform will continue to be developed by BW.tech and will receive regular updates. Therefore, the transition will not affect the familiar operation or service quality for customers of the platform. All functions and services will remain fully available. Only the billing for services will now be handled directly and exclusively by BW-Tech GmbH.
Customizable branding allows ownCloud.online to be seamlessly integrated into your corporate identity, creating a consistent and professional user experience. This is complemented by reliable, trained support available for technical and organizational questions.
